Mite-Proof Mattress Cover: Research Proven Effects on Eradicating Mites and Improving the Symptoms of Asthma

Based on the findings of four studies, all of them found that mattress and pillow casings are effective for reducing dust mites. However, they were inconclusive regarding whether they are efficient for improving the asthma symptoms of children who are allergic to dust mites. Two of the studies indicated that children's asthma symptoms improved significantly and resulted in a significant reduction in medication. The effectiveness of using the mattress and pillow casings could be seen as quickly as after one month. However, the other two studies indicated that there were no significant improvements in the children’s asthma symptoms as a result of using the mattress and pillow casings.
