How does Playing with Barbie Dolls Influence Girls’ Self-Image?

According to the results of a study with participants aged 5-8 years, girls who play with Barbie dolls have short-term lower body-esteem and a greater desire for a thinner body than girls who don't or than those who play with other types of dolls (such as Emme doll).
