According to the findings of one study, juice can be fed to infants as long as they are above age 6 months and they are only given 100% fruit juice. Intake should be limited to 4 to 6 oz. (118-177 ml) per day until age of 1 year. Don’t feed him/her juice in a baby bottle as it may result in caries. Feeding in a cup may reduce this risk. It has be to emphasized again that breastfeeding has to be the primary source of feeding for at least the first 6 months and is preferred until 1 year.
